Meerkats live in large families in the deserts of Africa. These innocent-looking animals actually mainly feed on scorpions. Recent studies have shown that the adults "educate" their young on how to hunt. The pups are given a series of assignments with gradually increasing levels of difficulty. This was the first mammals other than humans were seen applying a proactive approach to education. This episode takes a look at the meerkat's intensive crash course in scorpion hunting.
