On the outskirts of Paris lies a retirement home for elderly artists. There, some 70 artists, including pianists and painters, sculptors and graphic designers, lead their lives. All have lived by the light of their talents, enjoying their moments of fame and the applause of the crowd. As the years roll on, and their world shrinks, they gravitate to this home.
Afterglow draws exclusively on the first-person narratives of the artists themselves to trace the human patterns of their lives, the mournful recollection of their past glories, the last sparkling of their talents, and their autumnal passions.
