The ancient Quici Kingdom that prospered until the 7th century, where now lies Kuqa in the south of the Tien Shan range, sought to spread peace though Kuchean Buddhist monks. This program focuses on one of these monks, Kumarajiva, who translated many Buddhist texts, to depict the Silk Road as the road that transmitted Buddhist thought and philosophy, its culture and history.
